Hotel Review: Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland Resort

Earlier this month I was able to stay at Pixar Place Hotel at Disneyland for the first time – it was an absolute delight, and I can't wait to share all the details!

First things first, the theming and feel at Pixar Place Hotel is amazing. It's like stepping right into a Pixar movie – everywhere you look, there are characters and cool stuff from the films. And you can actually meet a character outside the parks right in your hotel. Bing Bong from Inside Out and Joe Gardner from Soul can both be found right at Pixar Place!

Now, let's talk location. This place couldn't be more perfectly situated. You're practically neighbors with Disney California Adventure, and with a special entrance for Pixar Place guests, getting there is a breeze. I even timed it – less than 5 minutes to walk! Plus, being close to the monorail stop at Downtown Disney makes hopping over to Disneyland Park super convenient.

Here's a little insider tip: if you're traveling with someone who needs a bit of extra help getting around, Pixar Place Hotel is a winner. Everything is all in one place, so getting to food, the pool, and into the parks is a piece of cake. For anyone with mobility issues deciding which Disneyland Hotel would be best for them, this one would be my recommendation.

Within the singular building of Pixar Place Hotel, you’ll find the Store-E gift shop, quick service restaurants Small Bytes and Sketch Pad Cafe, and the Great Maple Restaurant if you’re looking for a more upscale, sit-down dining option.

On the third floor, you’ll find the pool, with private cabanas available for rent, and an AMAZING splash pad area including a water slide. This is also a great fireworks viewing area where you can relax around one of the many cute Pixar-themed firepits.

We decided to treat ourselves to Club Level, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. Being able to pop back to the hotel whenever we wanted because of the close proximity to the parks was a game-changer. Plus, the staff were amazing – friendly, helpful, and always ready to lend a hand. My only tiny gripe was that the Creators Club closed up shop a bit early compared to other Disneyland Hotels.

All in all, our stay at Pixar Place Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I would absolutely stay there again and would recommend it to people looking for a place to stay that will full immerse them in the Disney and Pixar magic.  And if you're interested in seeing a glimpse into our Pixar Place Hotel room, follow my Instagram page for a tour later this week!
